PA system for Islamic Event at the Connaught Rooms London 22nd December 2014

Biggest PA system hire set up we as a company have been invoved with. Essentailly several sound systems set up over five floors and in some instances, two set up within  two rooms of the floors.
Arriving at 5.00a.m.  The AV already in situ organized by Neil of Fig Tree Films . We set about the task of making sure there was audible sound in all the pre designated areas. Taking a sound link from the projectors/video players which were set up on all floors was reasonably easy. Had spent a couple of days planning the cable runs and speaker distribution so we were well prepared.
The main room where the lectures and talks were coming from was the area for the maon sound sytem. Using EV SX300 s for the hall area and the JBL PRX635's for the stage with Mackie SRM450 sound monitors. We supplied an enjineer for the day to operate the desk and control the miciophone volumes.
As with most big events - there can be problems which means thinking on your feet. Neil from the AV company had a cable that caught fire making a couple of rooms 'sound less'. One of my roadies fell violently sick and I had to call in a replacement. Got a parking ticket just for good luck (Appealed and won!) But at the end of the day the audio system and service provided by our company was faultless

Battery Speaker Hire London

A small outdoor event that was lightly attended so may not have need our PA system .
Well the customer had agreed to hire so it was indeed used . 2 x wireless battery run speakers with a radio microphone for talking. Nice day nice job!

PA Hire Outdoor Rally (Heathrow Expansion)

PA System Hire (Boris Johnson used our microphone!) 27th April 2013

2500 persons attended this cross party anti-expansion of Heathrow airport rally at Barns Elm playing fields  next to the Wetland Nature reserve in South West London. The rally was largely organized by Zak Goldsmith ,the Tory MP for Richmond
We had to use a silent generator to power the sound system - Using our normal outdoor set up as follows: 8 x EV SX 300 speakers powered by Crown amps, Shure SM58 radio mic system and a Pioneer Desk .
Myself and son Barney took about an hour to set up . The speech deliverers were to be on on a small stand next to the Athletic track. We were situated by the stands side
Gyles Brandraft was hosting the event and what a charming funny fellow he is. Doing  a fantastic warm up to the London Mayor Boris Johnson's eagerly awaited slot. Worth waiting for? Yes he was good despite the fact that his arguments could be seen as a tad hypocritical!
Most West London boroughs were represented by their local MPs who had according to Gyles 'Just one minute' to deliver their speeches. The morning went quickly and one of my abiding memories will be of the 'Paparazzi' treatment of the prime minster in waiting. Boris Johnson

PA System South London Stockwell

Stockwell community Festival Larkhall Park London was the event and location  which we were providing there different sound systems for hire all of them mainly been used for bands and musicians
A glorious day in South London set the scene for a trouble free day in South London.
Joe and I go there about 9.15 am. and started the 1st set up in the "Cavendish Arms Tent". We used our new JBL PRX635 1500 watt speakers for F.O.H. and the awesome 800 watt DB Technologies Opera Sub Bass 15 as well. Two Mackie SRM450s as stage monitors and the wonderful 22ch Mackie ProFX22 mixing desk. Using 4 SM58 with stands, a multicore running although the distance between the desk and singers was actually quite short and therefore not needed.All the bands were providing their own back-line stuff
The second marquee ("Peace Tent") had no stage. Here we used 2 x Mackie SRM450s as F.O.H with a smaller 400watt DB Technologies Opera sub bass 12 . Two active DB Opera 15's were used as stage monitors Sound craft EFX12 desk & 4 x Senheiser microphones with stands.
Both performing areas  were supplied with Behringer D.I Boxes
Lastly the 3rd set up was the easiest. Using the extremely versatile and compact Yamaha Stage PAS500 system and two AKG microphones for the acts that were performing that day.
Techically we had no problems save a few iPods that had some low bit-rate recordings on them and therefore sounded naff thru our PA systems
