Karaoke DJ London

Karaoke system Hire & Party Light Hire

The event took place at the Oxford & Cambridge Club Pall Mall London on the 9th November 2019. The building was amazing with activities happening on all three floors. As this was a corporate event we set up earlier that day and returned to compere and run the Karaoke show for the guests later that evening. Most of whom were former graduates from the universities of Oxford & Cambridge.
We set up in the library that looked like it had come out of a period film set.
We used  a touch screen digital Karaoke system hire with lighting effects. The Karaoke laptop package is awesome using a streaming servive to ensure we have 1000’s of songs available. We still occasionally use  our Karaoke CD package but not on this occasion. System used included speakers, microphones, Desk Mixer and a TV for the singers. Easy to use DIY Karaoke package are available form us if yo do not want a DJ/Host to run your event!
The organisers said that all went very well and commented on the good sound quality.

Karaoke Hire Uxbridge

KARAOKE Hire
The event took place at a private address in Hillingdon near Uxbridge on the 30th May 2015. Left early Saturday morning to avoid the normal M25 jam and set up whilst Mum was contemplating this Karaoke that her son had laid on for her!
It was a general party thrown by a son for his mum at her house!
This was not a touch screen digital Karaoke system hire with lighting effects. We were going to use our Karaoke laptop package but ended up hiring  our Karaoke CD package with speakers, microphones, Desk Mixer and a TV for the singers. Easy to use DIY Karaoke package! Although available the clients did not hire any LED lighting effects  but settled for a small laser light
The organisers said that all went very well and commented on the good sound quality.

Karaoke with compere London

26th April 2012 Grange Hotel St Paul's London

We were working for the event company Storm Events and were asked to supply a Karaoke system with an operator.
We arrived early afternoon and supplied a digital Karaoke system with a Behring mixer and two radio microphones along with a 14" flat TV screen on its own stand. The event company supplied the PA system and also managed to plug in to a 3m x 2 meter screen that just happened to be in the room where part of the event was taking place.
Richie Lassie was the Karaoke  compere for the evening
Storm Events were very happy with A1 pro Entertainments contribution to the night.

DJ equipment hire London WC2

CDJ Hire - One Aldwych London

We were delivering a CDJ Sound package to the Axis restaurant situated in the basement of a prime located Hotel (One Aldwych) near The Strand.
Parking was not as awful as we expected and the access, thanks to an extremely helpful Porter (unusual in West End hotels ) was relatively good considering we had corridors and lifts to negotiate
We hired the following items (to a  Natalie Murray of Boss Design who in her spare time DJs) 2 x CDJ 1000's - Pioneer DJM 800 Mixer - 1 x C.Audio Amp - 2 x EV SX 300 speakers - 1 x 400 watt sub bass unit - 2 x Martin lighting effects - microphone and all stands, leads and cables. Joe my helper stayed in the van on 'Traffic Warden watch' whilst I assembled and sound checked the equipment. There was an attractive but assertive restaurant manageress making sure everything was positioned to her liking. Nice room off the main restaurant was where the hired DJ equipment was placed.
Joe returned later that evening to collect the sound and lighting equipment but he had a little moment . "Could'nt find the place" despite been there earlier and having a Sat Nav. - I at home in pyjamas!! I ended up guiding him over the phone whilst holding a magnifying glass against the pages of a tiny London A-Z atlas. All in a days work I guess. Very happy customers so all good

karaoke with Operator East Midlands

Karaoke with Operator DHL Castle Donnington March 23rd 2012

I personally covered this event for "Wired Events" based in London . DHL are holding an internal "DHL has got Talent" competition. The acts all taken from DHL employees. They  are filmed  interviewed and then judged at a later date by the Film crew and 'Wired Events' . The Finalists will eventually be going into a head to head at  a later date to be voted/judged by their colleagues.
I travelled up to Castle Donnington (which is by East Midlands airoprt. DHL 's main operation is here as well)
Stayed in a delightful B & B the evening before  the event. Next day early rise and to work
Another company had laid on the PA system and cameras etc. I just supplied the Karaoke system so the competitors could sing along to backing tracks if they were not doing their own thing.
It was  a long day with big gaps between the acts. (Some  that could only be descibed as excruciating)
However there were at least a couple of very good artists (both had their own guitars ). However there was one common denominator for all the acts and that was nerves and there were heaps of them.
A long day 8.00 a.m. to 6.30.p.m and then a drive home back to London. Obviously we all kept each other amused and this heped the day go a little faster.

6th Feb 2012

A small company staff party weer holding what can be only termed as a corporate event at the Adelaide Pub in Camden London on a Monday night . Barney the Bolt delivered a basic set up to the pub earlier in that evening. Using a Karaoke Cd based system comprising of 3 cabled microphones, Numark twin CD player, Flat TV screen, 2 x Mackie SRM 450 speakers, all stands and cables. 4500 songs on Karaoke discs with the appropriate song books and request slips for the customers. They operated the rented Karaoke equipment successfully and evidently all present enjoyed themselves
The event ran on quite late so Barney picked up the karaoke equipment the following day  which alas meant that we had to pay 2 lots of congestion charges.

Karaoke Hire Heathrow Hotel West London

25th Jan 2012

Karaoke Hire with Operator

This was a corporate event for DHL held at the Park Inn Hotel Bath Road Heathrow on a Wednesday night
The event was been coordinated by a company called "Wired" They had hired a  karaoke system from us and an operator (me Jon Blackman) to work along side a film crew that were filming different employees from DHL singing their karaoke favourites . This was done in a studio type room away from the main event area where they had already been running a 'DHL has got Talent night'! I was working alongside a nice guy called Lucas who operating the PA System. After setting up and sound checking I had about 3 hours to kill. So off to the hotel bar where fortunately the match Man City vs Liverpool was playing - enjoyed a expensive pasta  whilst watching the 'footie'. The whole event was running late and we did not start shooting the Karaoke until 11.15.Finished about 12.45  A successful evening, all the sound and karaoke equipment was 100%. Everyone happy!

Karaoke Hire Staging hire London

15th December 2011
A big event held at the 'Grace bar' in Soho London for Turner Broadcasting
A nightmare to deliver - Great Windmill Strret with parking restruictions (i.e. none!)
Fortunately there were three of us Andy Spirit, my son Alfie and me (Jon Blackman). Alfie was on 'Traffic Warden watch' and Andy and I set up the Karaoke system and staging. We used a karaoke player, Dyancord mixer, 4 SM58 microphones and a Flat TV screen with stand plus 2 x EV SX 300 speakers. We hooked the video signal into the 42" Plasma Screen that had been supplied for our use only. We used 2 x 1 meter square carpeted modular stage pieces to create a small staging area for the singers.
Hectic night not helped by the fact we were crammed into a tiny area and subsequently experienced problems with some of the sound levels partly because there was a very large crowd who wanted it louder and as the speakers were so close together due to the limited set-up area there were consequent  feedback issues from the microphones when the volume levels were increased.
We got out of there alive minus one SM58 microphone which we will endeavour to retrieve. Typical London office party - a lot of very drunk over excitable patrons but nonetheless it all went well on the night

Karaoke Hire London

1st December 2011

The Red Room in Ealing opposite Ealing Broadway station was the venue where we were delivering a Digital Karaoke system to.It was a corporate event held by a company based in the Ealing area. A charming Asian gut called Jonathan Chan was the hirer.
We had to take the equipment down a flight of stairs to a large reddish room. The room already had a DJ booth and lights so we did not bring any intelligent  light effects down with us. We used the following equipment: Media Hard Drive with an amazing 11000 songs, Dynacord 9 channel mixing Desk, 2 x Electrovoive speakers, 3 Senhieser microphones , 15" flat TV with its own stand. All fitted into a convenient area opposite the DJ Booth..
The karaoke night finished earlier than expected and the party went into Disco-mode. Andy Dolphin picked up the karaoke equipment and Jonathan emailed me in the morning to tell me that everything had run very smoothly

PA System Karaoke System Hayes London

Nov 14th 2011

This was a promotional event for a DVD launch of  " Kung Fu Panda 2 " whatever that is!!
The 'Shine' team organised the event which was held at the 'Super' Sainsburys branch at Hayes Middx .
Arrived at 10.00a.m. sharp to set up the following sound equipment  2  x Mackie SRM 450 speakers (FOH) 2 x Mackies for stage monitors -  2 x Db Sub bass speakers - 1 x Soundcraft mixing desk - 4 x Shure SM58 microphones with stands - 1 x Karaoke player - 1 x LED TV monitor with stand -  1 x 10ft by 7ft portable stage.
The whole event centred on the recently reformed boy/girl band "Steps" who were going to perform two of their previous hits and 'Kung Fu Fighting ' Lee and Clare were the two Steps members that did their bit for the small but appreciative crowd that was there to see what was going on. My sister in law once had a crush on Lee so I mentioned her to him (always nice to speak to a minor celebrity on a common subject) The whole event lasted an hour and a half . So my helper Mr.Dolphin and I  had a short day. All the hired sound equipment worked well and there were no technical hitches. Terrific!

Karaoke Hire HMS Belfast 9th September

Our first job of the day was a DIY Karaoke system hire at the HMS Belfast moored on the River Thames London. We parked in a road called Battle Bridge Lane off Tooley Street London Bridge as this was the nearest access point for delivery purposes. A long walk to the quayside and an even longer walk on the gang plank before we finally got on the ship. Then a walk along the port side of the ship to a a narrow door and then a few narrow  corridors to negotiate before we finally reached the "Ships Company Dining Room" which has been modified to become a suitable function room for private and corporate functions. Thank God we bought the trolley to lug all the Karaoke equipment !
Using a CD based karaoke system with active speakers, SM58 microphones, 1 x 15" flat TV screen with a laser light chucked in to give some visual flair to the event - we were set up in no time. Some karaoke nautical instruction to the operator (Phil) who worked for the company whose event it was and then on to the next set up. On our return Phil was very happy with the equipment and our service . Aye Aye Cap'n Sail on!

Karaoke for "Totally Be You"

Today we provided a complete Karaoke system for under priveledged children on an housing estate in South London. The event was in the afternoon running between 12 and 3 .00 p.m. To keep costs down we used a basic karaoke system which comprised of a Twin CD player, TV, 3 x microphones and 2 x 200 watt Speakers. Song books and request slips were also provided. The compere 'Julian' ran the event with the  help of the dedicated youth workers who were present at the event. Our catalogue of songs is bang up to date so the kids could sing all thier favourite new hits. To make the young singers more visible we used a small modular stage which was one foot high. The afternoon was a great sucess.
